As the host nation, Romania is automatically qualified for next year’s EURO U19 final tournament and will not participate in these qualifiers.
The matches for the first qualifying round will take place this autumn. The top two teams from each group, along with the third-placed team with the best record across all groups, will advance to the Elite Round, where Portugal, the team with the highest coefficient, is already qualified.
The winners of the seven groups in the Elite Round will qualify for the EURO U19 2025 final tournament hosted by Romania.
Romania previously hosted EURO U19 in 2011, when Spain claimed the continental title. In 2022, Romania qualified for the EURO U19 tournament hosted by Slovakia.
