The first seminar of a unique sports leadership platform in Romania gathered young people with initiative and gave rise to project ideas with a role in community development.

The event was organized by the Romanian Football Federation, in partnership with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation at the end of June at the Buftea National Football Center, where all the national junior teams of Romania train.

Positive values such as fair play, team spirit, leadership, responsibility, respect and friendship were debated during the project management, strategy, communication and marketing lessons by the young people that arrived in Buftea from all over the country.

"Football is a special phenomenon that has the capacity to bring about change and progress in society. In the view of the Romanian Football Federation, the role of the youth group is to come up with new ideas, to promote change and to place football and its values in the center of community development concerns", said FRF President Răzvan Burleanu.

The sport values are universal. Young people have a strong voice in society, and the Youth Council is a unique sports leadership platform in Romania that offers them the opportunity to affirm, know and implement ideas.

In September, the Romanian Football Federation, together with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation, will hold the second Youth Council seminar where other young people will join the team.
