The Scouting Department of the Romanian Football Federation organized a scouting event for the Romanian nationals that play abroad. The trials were held from 25 to 27 August in Italy, at the training grounds of CGC Capezzano Pianore in Capezzano Pianore, Tuscany.

This was the 10th scouting event organized by the Scouting Department of the Romanian Football Federation during the past two and half years.

The event in Tuscany brought in 55 Romanian players born in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006 and registered with foreign clubs.

It was for the first time that children were assessed using three-fold criteria aimed at testing their training, playing and athletic abilities.

"It was an enjoyable experience for everyone and a real success. All the children attending the trials were very eager to prove themselves. Four of them were picked for the national teams. They were born in 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003. We will continue to monitor the progress of all the players present at these trials", concluded Ion Geolgău, Manager of the Scouting Department of the Romanian Football Federation.
